Chris Leatherman 2023

Chris Leatherman

Director of Instruction

Chris is the Director of Instruction at Leatherman Golf Learning Center. He is a Class “A” Member of the PGA of America. Chris has been teaching professionally for 34 years and has 44 years of competitive playing experience.

He is a member of the PGA Presidents Council for growing the game of golf for players of all ages and skill levels. His teaching philosophy is based on a thorough understanding of the five basic fundamentals of golf. This simplistic approach builds the foundation for a reliable, natural golf swing which produces accuracy, control, consistency, and effortless power.

Cleve Coldwater

Senior Golf Instructor

Leatherman Golf Learning Center is excited to have Cleve Coldwater on our professional teaching staff. He has been a member of the PGA of America since 1985. His playing background includes participation in several major professional tournaments.

Cleve has experience teaching all levels of golfers from beginners to more advanced players to aspiring professionals. He has taught the introduction of the game and improved playing skills to golfers of all age levels. Over his many years of instruction, he has held a passion for helping provide instruction to those players that desire to improve and become better golfers.

Bruce Parker

Senior Golf Instructor

Leatherman Golf Learning Center is excited to have Bruce Parker on our professional teaching staff. With over 35 years of experience as a golf professional, he will be a great addition to our teaching staff.

Bruce has been the Head Professional at three different Golf Clubs, along with being the Director of Instruction at three different Golf Centers. Bruce has developed his own method of instruction and teaches all levels of players.

Frank Petry - 2023

Frank Petry

Senior Instructor

Frank started playing golf 18 years ago in a small town just outside of New Brunswick, NJ. He was an accomplished High School and College golfer. He is a certified United States Golf Teaching Federation Teaching Professional. He believes that any individual can play better golf. He is passionate about helping juniors and adults have more fun playing golf. Leatherman Golf Learning Center is excited to welcome Frank Petry to our professional teaching staff.

  • Teaches Tuesday-Wednesday, Sunday.
Charleigh Hodges

Charleigh Hodges

Staff Instructor

Charleigh has been playing golf for 10 years. She played 4 years at Queen’s University of Charlotte while majoring in Exercise & Sport Science. Charleigh believes that basic fundamentals are the building block for a consistent golf swing. She will specialize in Juniors, Women and beginner golfers. Through hard work and dedication anything can be achieved in this sport!

Adam Byerly

Adam Byerly

Club Fitter

Adam is the head of our club fitting and club repair department at Leatherman Golf Learning Center. He has an extensive background in the golf industry with over 17 years devoted to helping players with their equipment to better their games as well as playing for more than 35 years. Adam has completed many certifications available to club fitters and club builders including annual manufacturer specific education. Adam will ensure you have the right equipment in your bag for your best golf.
